I updated the howto for pinballx and pinball wicked in this post on pinballx forums. Hope it helps someone and that if you do decide to try it out the instruction on github are clear enough to get it workingĮdited by joyrider3774, 16 February 2020 - 01:59 AM. Here is a video of an older initial version i created to show how it works in pînball fx3 and here is (also) an older video where you can see it being used in pinball wicked I don't think it's needed for pinup system as i've seen mentions of pinup system begin able to do this by itselve. The latest version for pinball wicked is here and that whole topic explains how i initally got it working with the old menu along with another tool i had created, imagemonitorview to be able to display a backglass picture on a certain monitor fullscreen as some programs required rotating the display before playing it and then pinballx's backglass could not be used if i tested that.Īnyway only created this topic to raise awareness that is possible in pinballx to select multiplayer options for pinball fx3, pinball wicked (if used with extra launcher) and it probably should work for pinbally as well. The tool is available on my github here (check releases tab for downloads, the files you initially see at the linked page is (delphi) source code. I and a few others have been using this tool in pinballx but it's usuage is not limited to pinballx it can also probably be used in pinbally if it has no options to define hotseat / playstyle info. But i also use the exact same tool, with just a different ini file for pinball wicked (latest version) alongside a autohotkey script to be able to select number of players and play style (targeted at the new menu). I created it initially for pinball fx3 to be able to select number of players and if you want to play in classic / normal mode. But i had created a tool a few months ago that sits between the frontend and a game where you could define, in an ini file, buttons and parameters to pass to the final game / application. Among those of you i also don't know how many of you still visit the pinballx forums.

If there is an announcement of full cabinet support on the Steam version posted on this forum, please point me to it.I don't know how many of you still use pinballx frontend, but i do and pinballx has no options to expand menu's to support hotseat / classic / normal etc options in for example pinball fx3. I did not do a real thorough search, just some key word searches and topic searches. I tried looking on the ProPinball forum and did not find any announcement about this version/update or on the Steam forum. I just happened to open the game in Steam a couple days ago and found that I could configure it to work fully on my cabinet with a lot less hassle than the beta version. I did not check on Steam because the last I heard, the Steam version did not have full cabinet support. Life has a way of getting in the way of hobbies. That did not happen until earlier this week. I would check back on the forum every few weeks but there was nothing new but questions about "where have the updates from the developers gone?" "Why aren't they responding to the forum?" So I gave up and figured I would try to find the old version again and reload when I had the time.

There was no word back from the developers at all and the forum went silent right after this.

I had to download the resolution and re-do the settings every time I opened up the game, no matter what I tried. The backers release did initially work until I loaded the last one (3.2.1 or 1.2.3 or whatever it was before Ade went into silent mode) and that version just took all the usability out of the game on my system. Sorry if this is old news but I was totally unaware. I would guess you can do the same for 2 monitors with M2

If anyone is interested, you can get 3 monitor support by right clicking on Pro Pinball Ultra in your library > Properties > Set Launch Options > M3 Did anyone else see it? Would have saved me a whole lot of headaches and concern. I am not sure if it is the developers or just helpful users.Īpparently I missed the announcement that the game release and support is moving to Steam instead of this dedicated forum site. There is even some help going on at the Steam forum. I am not sure how long it has been there but I have not seen any mention of it here. I am able to use the buttons on my cabinet because they are mapped to keystrokes and even nudging. There is full cabinet support with 3 monitors. I played the Steam version yesterday and discovered that the version on there seems to be more advanced than anything that had been released here.
